Elmbridge policing your community event

Dear resident,

On Tuesday (14 July), we were delighted to host the Elmbridge ‘Policing Your Community’ event at Weybridge Library, bringing together residents, Surrey Police leaders and the Police and Crime Commissioner. 

Those who attended provided some honest feedback, including concerns about speeding and car meets, vehicle crime, potential police force mergers, antisocial behaviour (ASB), and e-scooters. 

Chief Constable Tim De Meyer and Elmbridge Borough Commander Chris Thoday reassured residents that we are listening, and action is being taken to make improvements. This includes working with local retailers to target shoplifting, building intelligence around car meets, tackling vehicle crime, and working more closely with partners to tackle longer-term ASB issues.
